Meet Our Team
Kul Bushan
Director & Senior Occupational Therapist
Kul has over 21 years of experience working in Ireland’s healthcare system, including 16 years in the West of Ireland and 4 years in Dublin, across acute brain injury rehabilitation, orthopaedic and hand therapy, and community-based OT services. He brings over 25 years of clinical experience in total.
As Director and Occupational Therapist at Empower Rehab Solutions, he mainly works with clients through case management. He is CORU registered, a member of the Irish Association of Occupational Therapists and the Irish Association of Hand Therapists, and holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Stroke Rehabilitation from Cork University.

Umesh Bairwa

Healthcare Assistant & Social Media Business Support
Umesh has been part of Empower Rehab Solutions since 2024, working as a Healthcare Assistant while also supporting the business’s social media and digital presence. He provides personal care and practical support to clients in their homes, and escorts them to medical and rehabilitation appointments, always upholding dignity, privacy, and independence.
He also manages the company’s social media channels and helps create content and materials for the business.
Umesh is currently a third-year student at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Sligo, studying Computer Networks and Cyber Security, and balances his studies with his work supporting Empower Rehab’s clients and operations.
Komal Bairwa
Administrator
Komal joined Empower Rehab Solutions in July 2024, where she manages office administration, maintains accurate records, and handles patient data with strict confidentiality. She has streamlined data entry and invoicing processes, helping improve efficiency and accuracy across the team’s administrative work.
Alongside her role at Empower Rehab, Komal is a fourth-year Biomedical Engineering student at Ulster University, Belfast. She recently completed a placement at Boston Scientific Galway, gaining hands-on experience in the biomedical industry. She brings strong organisational and communication skills, along with a genuine enthusiasm for supporting the team’s day-to-day operations.
